Amada SA, the French headquarters, located in Paris, has partnered up with CANGURU to implement and integrate SAP CPQ – configure-price-quote – within their existing SAP landscape.
Why SAP CPQ?
The sales teams have been managing their pipelines in SAP Sales Cloud for several years. Sales offers and orders are created by the back-office in SAP S/4HANA on their demand. By introducing SAP CPQ, the existing flow is completed to form a seamlessly integrated lead-to-cash process. The main objectives are:
to provide a user-friendly offer tool to the sales teams with a full catalog of configurable and simple products, fully embedded in SAP Sales Cloud
to be able for the sales team to generate and send highly personalized offers to the customers
to implement a consistent pricing and discount strategy
to be able to automatically trigger all required internal approval processes for pricing and technical feasibility
to integrate all available master data from SAP S/4HANA
to automatically create sales documents in SAP S/4HANA
CANGURU & SAP CPQ
SAP CPQ is one of the most recent acquisitions within the SAP landscape, therefore some functionalities and especially some integrations still faced some challenges. However, within our CANGURU team we have the necessary skills to face these challenges and to overcome them. As a SAP Partner and with our licensed SAP CPQ consultants, we believe SAP CPQ is the future for personalized quoting for sales teams.
For AMADA it was needed to write some customized scripts within SAP CPQ to enhance the standard functionalities. Several custom interfaces with SAP S/4HANA have been established. This in-house knowledge is available at CANGURU and therefore guaranteed a successful implementation and a satisfied customer.
Go Live
AMADA has chosen SAP CPQ for their French division which is responsible for France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the French overseas territories. The main product ranges are bending machines, punching machines and laser cutting machines, which have been included in the initial set up, together with ranges of spare parts, tools, software and services.
The project has gradually gone live and is available to the full sales team as of June 2020.
